Pilot Program - GENESIS Scheme

The PILOT Component under GENESIS is designed to enable startups, particularly from Tier-II and Tier-III cities, to validate and demonstrate their market-ready solutions through pilot projects with corporates, PSUS, and large enterprises.

Program Objective

By facilitating structured pilot engagements, the scheme aims to:
  • Bridge the gap between Minimum Viable Product and commercialization.
  • Provide startups with credibility, and revenue traction.
  • Encourage corporates and PSUs to engage with emerging technologies.
  • Strengthen industry-startup collaboration in ICT, AI, electronic manufacturing, and deeptech products.

Key Benefits for Startups

1. Financial Support
  • Each selected startup may receive up to funding of ₹40 lakhs, based on scope and requirement.
  • Disbursement may be milestone-based or in single/two tranches, as approved by the committee.
2. Support from Enabling Partners (EPs)

Support from Enabling Partners (EPs) Startups will receive dedicated support from Enabling Partners, including:

  • Access to labs, prototyping equipment, and workspaces.
  • Periodic mentoring by domain, business, and IP experts.
  • Business connects with corporates, investors, and government agencies.
  • Compliance, reporting, and documentation support.
3. Equity
  • Centers can hold equity up to 3% on behalf of MSH in any startup under the Pilot Component. The ownership of the equity lies with MSH.

Startup Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the program, a startup must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a DPIIT registered startup.
  • Should be working in ICT-related domains: IT & AI, electronic design & manufacturing, tech/deeptech products.
  • Must have an MVP/working prototype, a viable business plan, and a full-time founder/co-founder.
  • Must have a Pilot work order/ Purchase order from an eligible corporate/PSU/unicorn.
  • Must not be a beneficiary of TIDE 2.0 scale-up or SAMRIDH.
