Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) focuses on creating user-friendly technologies that enhance the interaction between humans and machines. The Build for Himalayas theme is centered on developing solutions tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities of the Himalayan region. This includes fostering education, enhancing local products and services, managing natural resources, improving infrastructure, and promoting social inclusion. The aim is to create sustainable, resilient communities that can thrive in the region's distinct environment.
This theme focuses on creating solutions that contribute to a sustainable and habitable world. It addresses critical environmental challenges such as climate change, waste management, water conservation, and responsible resource use. By promoting sustainable practices and technologies, this theme aims to ensure a better quality of life for future generations.
Bio-Innovation is dedicated to leveraging biological processes and technologies to address challenges in healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, and environmental sustainability. This theme includes the development of new drugs, healthcare devices, food technologies, and biotechnological solutions that can revolutionize industries and improve human health and well-being.
Among the fastest growing states in India, Himachal had at a CAGR of 10.8% during the decade 2005-2015. With per capita GSDP 1.5 times the national per capita GDP, the state has tremendous potential for business activity in agriculture, horticulture, biotech, food processing, clean energy, thermal energy, tourism, pharma and healthcare. Government of Himachal Pradesh, through CM Startup Scheme launched in 2017, is also promoting already flourishing startup culture in the state.
