About Accelerator
The CPS-Accelerator Program is a short individualized program aimed at helping startups to accelerate growth, quickly acquire entrepreneurial competencies, raise seed funding, and provide a greater overall chance of surviving.
Through a highly structured and competitive mentoring program, the startups can focus on their weak links and improve overall productivity in their operations.
The program aims to support commercialized startups in scaling up the business and achieving fast growth through investment from the incubator, external investors, and strategic market linkages.
The program typically addresses problems newly commercialized ventures face in understanding and resolving hurdles to building a larger organization and reaching a larger national or international market that quickly brings opportunities for significant business growth.
HCI
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is the latest term gaining traction among the most cutting-edge institutions involved in technology-based innovation. Although its definition is ever-evolving, HCI today has to shift levels from the existing assistance that computers provide, to include intelligent and contextual responses/outputs useful in human decision making. Such output has to augment humans' capabilities and/or assist humans in emotional and social decision-making. In essence, technology has to evolve to understand human behavior in social and emotional contexts, recreate it, and provide output to aid human thought processes.
TiH
In March 2020, India's National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems established a Technology Innovation Hub in human-computer interaction (IIT Mandi iHub and HCI Foundation or iHub) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi. The goal of iHub is to make India a leader in human-computer interaction (HCI) research globally. The vision is to create an internationally recognized hub that nurtures human-computer interaction (HCI) research, technology translation, skill development, and collaborations.
Focus Area
The Accelerator focuses on accelerating startups solving problems related to human-computer interaction (HCI) across different domains.

Environment
Help solve some of the most significant environmental concerns that we face as a society.

Healthcare
To reduce human errors, improve clinical outcomes, facilitate care coordination, improve practice efficiencies, and track data over time.

Information Technology (IT)
Build communications networks, safeguard data and information, create and administer databases, all in the most user-friendly way possible.

Defense and Security
The need for information gathering, communication, and informed decision-making is continuous; it pervades all deterrence, defense, and attack stages.

Eligibility
The Startups working in the HCI domain that have a consistent revenue stream qualify for the Accelerator Program. Ideally, the program looks at companies who are almost ready for a Pre-Series round of funding and need some industrial expertise to help them fix their weak links.

Selection Process
The enrolment to the Accelerator Program is through two different pathways, as mentioned below.
